Ok, so i am in this partial hospitalization program for anorexia recovery. Right now, i am 5′4, 17 years old and 81lbs (i gained a pound this week! which is good, i guess). Anyways, the doctors there want me to reach around 100-105lbs and they see this as an ideal weight. However, i have always been very thin (i have never weighed over 87lbs– i continued to grow in height, but failed to gain weight). The idea of weighing 100 lbs really kind of scares me, but i want to get out of this program so i can go back to school and have my normal life again. I also know in my heart that i need to gain weight, but 20lbs seems like so much. Is 100-105 still thin for my height and age? The idea of gaining 20lbs scares me, and im afraid i will look and feel totally different. I am just really dreading it, because the doctors expect me to gain 1-3lbs a week, (they give you meal plans and calorie increases, but it seems like some of the girls in the program have to eat a ridiculous amount of food) or i will have to go inpatient. Can anyone help me calm down? I’m feeling really anxious and uneasy about all this

I am trying to overcome anorexia and it is so hard. i’ve been in recovery about a year and i really have my ups and downs. Yesterday i ate barley nothing, which i knew was really bad. So today i was extra hungry but i feel like i ate way to much! Im supposed to have dessert twice a week, so i had to have it tonight and now i feel like i binged. Please help.
Breakfast-
Cinnamon Fiber Oatmeal- 160 calories
1 pack of raisins – 45
1 banana
Lunch-
1 portabello and mixed vegtable sandwhich on cuban bread
1 fruit salad (grapes, sliced strawberry and pineapple.
Dinner-
1 house salad- no dressing
1 whole wheat roll
2 panseared crab cakes w/ a side of green beans and carrots
dessert-
1 slice of homemade apple pie
The dessert is part of my meal plan, but i feel like i ate way to much today. Im supposed to be up to 2800 calories and i feel like i exceeded that. I just need some advice from people who arent trying to influence me. Did i eat to much?? And please be kind, this is really hard to deal with. Thanks in advance =]]

I’m in recovery. and man is it hard!!
I’ve struggled with anorexia and bulimia since I was 11.
after I almost died when I was 14. I accepted a feeding tube. I went through residential treatment and gained 70 lbs. now I’m at a healthy weight and sometimes it gets really hard
I purged today and I purged on wednesday. both times were blood.
which I used to have a hole in my throat from purging. and I’m afraid its opened back up. I’ve been helping others in their recovery. sharing my story
but now I’m struggling again. it all started when a girl I go to school with asked me to lose weight with her. the bad way. I should have said no. I had it in my mind.
but I said yes. and now I’m living with it again. I told her a while back that I couldn’t do it anymore. she accepted it and now I am helping her recover.
but I cant tell her that I still struggle. but I want her to know that there is still hope
I heard my parents talking the other day about my weight. I’m still a healthy weight and I am allowed to lose a few pounds.
I’ve been exercising to help me. and I want a really healthy and ‘hott’ body.
but it gets hard sometimes.
I’ve been eating OK. I make some unhealthy food choices. but I still follow my meal plan
does anyone have any advice for me?
to help me through recovery. and also some healthy weight loss tips?
thank you everyone!!

I’ve been anorexic for quite some time and I’ve gone through some recovery process to gain back the weight I lost. Now I am a healthy weight and I want to just eat like a normal person now to maintain this weight. Except the only problem is, I don’t know what a normal person eats every day! So can somebody please help me, and just give me a rough plan of how much a normal person eats for each meal and snacks and how much exercise they do, in order to maintain their current weight. Please help!
