My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 weeks now, and last week my best friend dragged me in to see the school psych for anorexia. I still haven’t told my boyfriend and don’t know how to since it’s a new relationship and all.

any advice?

He’s a guy, He won’t care, just tell him.

Don’t tell him. Wait until 6 months, he does not need to know. Contrary to popular belief some things remain personal even if you marry the guy and stay married for 50 years. Its none of his business and has no affect on the story right now.

He will probably figure it out sooner than later. It is best to be honest with it now then to hurt someone or be hurt after you have been together for a while.

wait it out, most hs relationships don’t last long. if you r getting serious, then go ahead and tell him. u can get advice on how to tell him from ur school counselor…

Three weeks? Don’t let someone you hardly know get that far into your personal life.

What if he doesn’t like it and breaks up with you?
He could tell your whole school. Don’t dig a hole for yourself.

Three weeks is very early in a relationship. I would wait a few more weeks AT LEAST. You don’t want to scare him away by having serious issues. That can be overwhelming to someone who may not be completely invested in you yet. When you do chose to tell him just take some time when you are just hanging out and nothing important is going on and tell him something to the effect of, “There’s something I want you to know. I’ve been struggling with an eating disorder for some time and I’ve recently sought treatment. I wanted to let you know because it may explain some of my actions and emotions. I don’t want you to worry about me, but I trust you enough to share this.”

i’d probably wait a bit….ummm ive suffered anorexia for some time less than a year ago…i didnt tell to many ppl….just family…..umm….unless u want the whole school to know i wouldnt tell him…..untill like 6 months….when he actually cares for u …and hey by then u may be well on ur way to recovery…..like im still recovering…..but my darkest parts only went on for 6 months…..which is still a long time
    but ya just wait
