I am recovering from anorexia already, I just want to know if I will get any benefits other than being healthier in my mind and weight.

Will my cold hands & feet cure? Will I get more energized? Will I have moist skin? Will I stop obsessing?

So far in my weight gain I have not experienced any of the above.
Will I ever do?

Eventually the symptoms go away. But it really depends on how you feel about recovery. If you don’t want to get better, then therapy will do diddly squat except make you fat and miserable.

By the way, how many cals are you consuming? I’m worried that a relapse of 1000 from 2400 for a while has upset mine. Your advice? Would bumpoing up by a couople hundred be harmful, etc.?

    You should feel more energized.
The cold hands and feet are probably from low blood pressure.
Moist skin I dont even have and I’m healthy.

as you gain weight, you should have more healthy blood circulation, which will help your hands and feet stay warm. Food gives you energy, you will definitely have more! i’m not sure what you mean by moist skin, but i think you should still moisturize and you should see an improvement. some people never stop obsessing completely, but you will definitely think about it wayyy less! good luck!! and congrats on recovering!

well yes! first, you will be healthy so thats good
second when u are anerexic and lose weight you lose body heat beacause all the fat on your body is going away so you’ll be warmer and yes you will have a lot more energy– your skin will be more moist too and only you can know if you will keep obsessing– hope u get better

The life of a red blood cell is every four months, and every tissue cell has a life span before your body replaces it.

So, your going through a healing cycle, one after the other, sort of like peeling back the onion.

You will notice one symptom after another disappear with time as you heal. in the mean time, you have to learn how to meditate on your healing and seeing the positive from the moment you wake up in the morning, because you will experience set backs.

Do not beat yourself up when that happens or feel guilt or it will cause a spiral you can’t climb out of. You need to know its to be expected and to just move forward until it becomes easier and easier for you.

I take you seriously and I believe there is nothing wrong with you, its just a physical manifestation that has had you captive and now it doesn’t own you anymore.

I believe you can live an effortlessly healthy and happy life. Life is work, so keep the good work.

A great way to practice one simple thing is when you first awake in the morning and you catch yourself saying one little negative self image, you need to say the opposite of that over and over again, even if you don’t believe it.

Such as, “I hate my thighs” and then catch yourself and say, “I love my thighs” and say it over and over again, because your subconscious mind doesn’t know right or wrong and it records everything you do. So, that is a good tactic to get you to start believing your physical self worth to be whole.
